David joins JRI as a Financial Adviser, having spent the past 18 years working closely with the JRI Life team in Business Development Manager roles, initially with ACC and later with Sovereign/AIA.

He has worked across a number of areas within the insurance industry since 1992 and brings more than 30 years of experience to JRI. During that time, David has held roles with State Insurance, Equitas Limited (a subsidiary of Lloyd’s of London), the Accident Compensation Corporation, Sovereign and AIA.

Although he was born in Hamilton and now lives there, David is a self-confessed “Naki boy”, having spent 25 years living throughout Taranaki while growing up and beginning his insurance career with State Insurance. He has also spent more than 18 years working across the Taranaki region in his BDM roles with ACC and Sovereign/AIA.

David’s role at JRI will span both Life and General Insurance, reflecting JRI’s focus on providing clients with a more complete insurance solution. This means he can provide personal risk insurance (health and life), as well as commercial and general insurance needs.

Based in Hamilton, David brings a strong relationship-focused approach and is looking forward to supporting JRI clients across the Waikato, Bay of Plenty and northern regions, while also helping to grow JRI’s presence in those areas.
