With the unprecedented rainfall in the Upper North Island on Friday 27 January and overnight on Tuesday 31 January, many of our clients have been impacted and we have worked hard as a team since Friday evening and over the weekend assisting clients with their claims.

For Our Life & Health Insurance Clients

If you hold a policy with AIA New Zealand Limited (formerly Sovereign Assurance Limited), a Premium Waiver Relief option has been established - impacted policy owners will be entitled to one month’s premium waived for the period of 31 January 2023 to 28 February 2023, providing you meet the following criteria:

• - Customers who either live or work in severely flood-impacted areas in the Upper North Island; and 
• - Customers who hold any AIA Risk and Health policies
• - Customers who hold one of the following ASB policies:
  • ASB Lifestyle Security Plan
  • ASB Private Health 
  • ASB MyProtection
  • ASB Easy Life and Living 
  • ASB FlexiLife
  • ASB Absolute Health
  • ASB MajorCare

Customers who hold an ASB insurance policy that is not mentioned above, may be able to apply for alternative support via ASB.
