For more than 40 years, the Fire Service Levy has been the main source of funding for New Zealand's 14,000 firefighters and the vital work they do protecting life and property across the country. The government has announced far-reaching reforms to the country's fire services, at an estimated cost of $303 million over four years. As a result, the Fire Service Levy is set to rise.
Over the weekend, a new ransom ware virus called "WannaCry" attached organisations across the world. If you have Windows XP or Windows 2003 installed on any of your PC's, servers or terminal servers, Microsoft have issued emergency security patches which provide critical updates to help protect these operating systems.

New research from insurance technology provider SSP has found that 29% of consumers mistakenly believe that they are not responsible for checking the accuracy of their own motor insurance applications and more than 1 in 10 people (14%) don’t realise that inaccuracies in their personal details could invalidate their policy.
